"They shall be pure of heart and strong of body, untainted by doubt and unsullied by self-aggrandisement. They will be bright stars in a firmament of battle, Angels of Death whose shining wings bring swift annihilation to the enemies of Man." - Roboute Guilliman, Primarch of the Ultramarines

For those who don't know, I am a mild fan of Warhammer 40,000. I don't play the game, but I kind of follow it, and I love the Ciaphas Cain books.

So, I was fiddling around with some of my Bionicle pieces, when I noticed that the Hau mask looked a lot like the helmet to a Mark VI suit of Space Marine armor. I pointed this out to a friend of mine, who immediately requested I try and build a Space Marine. I like a challenge, so I set about trying to do so. This is the third version that I've done in two or three days, and it was a challenge for a few different reasons. I also eventually used the Nuva version of Gali's mask, because it looked even more like a Space Marine's helmet. It's certainly not as good as some of the other Space Marine MOC's I've seen, but I think it came out okay. As to why the arms aren't blue, I ran out of blue armor pieces and didn't feel like buying a new set just for this guy. Iron Man, yes. Space Marine, no.

Overall, I'm satisfied with this guy, but the backpack still annoys me and needs work. Hmmm. What to do, what to do? *begins thinking* Anyway, I'll have some turnaround pictures up in a bit, so you can see the designs.

Well, originally I was going to use the Hau mask, but it looked kind of hollow compared to the rest of the suit, so I used a different one. For why I wanted to use the Hau mask, compare the shape to an Imperial Aquila suit.

It's frighteningly close.

I dunno, I might use a blue Hau on my next attempt.

Well, I set out to make Mark VI armor because I prefer the look of it to Mark VII. I'll be fiddling around with it at some point, so it'll probably look better soon enough.

This is extra confusing, because I'm actually working on a Mark VII Iron Man suit too.xD

Are you referring to Space Marine armor or Iron Man armor there?
